Newborns
Are what I focus on the most. I spend a lot of time finding vintage props and the right blankets, hats, bonnets, plus many other things to style your newborns shoot just right.
When is the best time to have a newborn photography session done? Having the newborn photo session done within the first two weeks is ideal because they still have that "newborn look" and they love to eat and sleep! The younger your baby, the better our chances are of capturing a sleepy baby. I like to aim before the two week mark, but I understand that might not work out for some families. Contact me and let me know when you feel would be best time for our session.
All my newborn sessions take place at the comfort of your own home since it's the most comfortable place for a new family.
You receive a minimum of 30 high res digital images, which I edit and retouch and send to you via an online gallery for you to download. Shoot may include parents, siblings and a family picture at no extra cost.
maternity photography
I offer both in-home studio style maternity portraits and on-location maternity photography sessions. The preferred time for a maternity photography session is between 7-8 months. We want a big belly for the photos, but also want you to feel comfortable. If you think that there is a possibility of an early birth, please let me know when you feel would be the best time for the session.
There are many maternity photographers and it's important to choose the right photographer to document this beautiful experience. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Let me know your due date and your thoughts on the location and ideas you might have. There is a discount package available when you schedule a maternity and newborn photography session.
My name is Jenny Cortes, I'm an on-location photographer in On-location" means that we can have the session at an outdoor location or at your home. When scheduling an in-home portrait photography session, I bring my lighting equipment, backdrops, and stands to create a small studio at your home.
There are no additional charges unless you wanted prints, more time, and if you live 25 miles outside of my 94545 zip code. But my packages are set up so that the time is perfect and you won't need additional prints from me. I am proud to offer all your images (digital negatives) in full resolution and full rights with all my packages.
I have been a photographer since 2010 and specialize in portrait photography. I have since established myself as a local wedding photographer in California / san francisco and now offer affordable wedding photography with the option to add a second photographer.

I seriously want to do this with every baby! 6 month shoot vs. newborn shoot to show how much your baby has grown.
The difference between child photography and baby photography is that we are no longer in control. Children have gained full control of their mobility and they're always on the go! They have the attention span of a 2 year old!! :)
For child photography it's best that the photo session consist of activities and the least amount of "posing" possible so they could stay entertained. When scheduling a children's photography session, we should plan on a time when the children are happiest. If you have any questions about please feel free to contact me.
Outdoor Shoots
This includes ALL outdoor shoots. Maternity, family, child, sibling, engagement, pets.... you name it. You recieve a minimum 30 high resolution images that you can download and print anywhere you choose
Indoor Shoots
- Indoor shoots are the same price as outdoor shoots and include the same amount of images. Typical indoor shoots include (but not limited to): 6 month photoshoot , cake smash sessions, and boudoir type maternity sessions (not newborns, at those take 4x as long as a typical indoor shoot).

From newborns to generational sittings, from casual family portraits to executive headshots, we have your portrait needs covered. With provide our services in our studio, on location, or in the comfort of your own home. Wall portraits and albums are our specialty. Cortes Events offers wonderful backdrop for family photography! There is so much outdoor beauty that the hardest part might be choosing the perfect location for the family portraits. As a professional on-location, I am able to bring my equipment to the comfort of your home or we can meet up at your favorite spot around town.
Some photographers charge a little extra for additional family members. If you schedule a family portrait photography session with me, there are no additional charges for extra family members, as long as we complete our session within the time frame we agreed upon.
